The main event of last night’s (June 15) Road Rager special episode of AEW Dynamite saw the AEW World Tag Team Champions Jurassic Express face off against the Young Bucks in a Ladder match.
The match was originally slated to be a three-way Ladder match featuring the Hardys, but that was changed following Jeff Hardy’s arrest and subsequent suspension earlier this week.
Matt Hardy instead watched the match from home, tweeting:
Watching this #AEWDynamite Ladder Match between @youngbucks & #JurassicExpress very closely. I’m very disappointed I’m not in this match in front of this fantastic STL crowd. I promise I’ll bounce back.
The Young Bucks were victorious in the match, crowning them the first ever two-time AEW World Tag Team Champions.
Christian Cage turned heel by laying out Jungle Boy after the match, which was worsened by a potential legitimate injury to Jungle Boy.
