Matt Hardy Says WWE Is ‘Strictly Business’

Matt Hardy spent so many years working for WWE that he is easily able to describe the company culture in very succinct terms.

On his weekly Monday Twitch stream, Hardy affirmed what many fans already believed, that when it comes to decision making, WWE is all business.

Hardy said of WWE and specifically of President Nick Khan:

“When people think they do stuff like because they feel bad, from the heart, that’s not how they do things in WWE. They do stuff based on business and business alone now. Especially with the Nick Khan guy that’s there now. He is a businessman, he is running it like a business. I’m sure they’d say ‘I hope this doesn’t hurt your feelings, this is strictly business.’ I’m sure that’s what they would tell someone. And you have to understand if you’re going there now. They’ll let somebody go in a heartbeat. They don’t care. Personal feelings aren’t on the table. It’s strictly business there. That’s how it is. Bottom line.”

Matt has been vocal about WWE’s treatment of his brother, Jeff Hardy including providing updates regarding his brother’s release from WWE, why he felt it was a premature decision and whether or not we might see Jeff Hardy joining him in AEW.

With rumors continuing to swirl about the identity of a mystery signing, there is certainly a lot of buzz around tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite on TBS.

Currently, the odds on favorite for the new signee is Keith Lee with rumblings it may also be Killer Kross (with or without Scarlett Bordeaux) amongst other names such as Samoa Joe, Kenta, Will Ospreay and even Jeff Hardy being batted about as potentials.
