Matt Hardy Signs Contract Extension With AEW AEW

Matt Hardy will continue to be a part of All Elite Wrestling (AEW) as word is released that he has signed a contract extension.

Matt Hardy has signed a contract extension with All Elite Wrestling in order to make his contractual obligations to the company line up with his brother, the recently signed Jeff Hardy, according to a new report from Fightful Select.

According to the report, Hardy confirmed their reporting on his Twitch, saying:

“I’ve extended my contract with AEW, I’m going to be there a little bit longer. They matched myself and Jeff up, which was very cool. We can still do outside appearances.”

As one might expect, the Hardy Boyz have received huge interest in bookings from all around the independent scene, an ability that signing with All Elite Wrestling has afforded the performers in that they are often free to add independent circuit bookings to their schedules as they see fit.

Also per the report, Hardy is able to continue to have weekends off if he so chooses and continues to be active on Cameo, generating an additional revenue stream for the prolific Twitch streamer and content creator.

Jeff Hardy made his debut in AEW as he ran in to assist his brother Matt Hardy who had been voted out of his own faction, the Andrade-Hardy Family Office, and was being assaulted by his former stablemates.
Jeff’s appearance came after a misdirection by an appearance by Sting and Darby Allin to attempt to help Matt Hardy first, setting up the segment ending with a Sting and Allin staredown with the reunited Hardy Boyz, teasing yet another dream match for the brothers.
The Young Bucks also teased a potential future feud on both Being the Elite and on Twitter via their preferred method of engagement on the platform, changing their twitter bio.
