Matt Hardy has picked out two WWE names he feels are poised to become “big stars” in the company in the future.
At this Tuesday’s WWE Roadblock event (March 11), history will be made when The Hardy Boyz defend their TNA World Tag Team Championships against reigning NXT Tag Team Champions Nathan Frazer & Axiom.
The match will mark the first time that the TNA Tag Titles will be defended at a WWE event, while also being Matt & Jeff Hardy’s second match back in the company after making their in-ring WWE return on the February 25 episode of NXT.
That return saw Matt & Jeff take on the No Quarter Catch Crew’s Tavion Heights and Myles Borne and while The Hardy Boyz were successful, Matt was impressed by the young stars’ showing.
Speaking on his The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy podcast, Matt singled out Myles Borne as “incredible”:
“Somebody I want to put over is Myles Borne too. The fact that he is fully deaf and just the fact that he is so talented and liberating and you know, he can’t hear but he goes without missing a beat.
“He’s just incredible. He’s truly an incredible story, special athlete, and great guy.”
Matt would then share praise for Tavion Heights’ talents, saying:
“Tavion, too. You can’t go without mentioning how he is like a mega athlete, he’s like a scary athlete. He’s a very real guy too, you know, with everything he’s done but he’s just so talented and athletic in the ring, man. He busted his ass and was bouncing all over the place.
“They’re two amazing guys and they’re going to be — if they get the right opportunities, they’re both going to be really big stars in pro wrestling.”
Elsewhere on WWE Roadblock, TNA X-Division Champion Moose challenges Oba Femi for the NXT Championship and NXT Women’s North American Champion Stephanie Vaquer faces off with NXT Women’s Champion Giulia in a winner takes all match.
