Following Wednesday night’s cliffhanger conclusion to AEW Dynamite that saw Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks back up ‘Hangman’ Adam Page, in a confrontation with the Blackpool Combat Club, it seems as if Matt Jackson is taking The Elite’s reformation to the next level…
In the form of a new group chat between the four men.
As seen in the latest March 20 edition of Being The Elite, Matt would add Nick, Omega and Hangman into a chat, which seemed to be taken pretty well by Nick and Hangman… however, the same couldn’t be said for Omega.
Following Matt, Nick and Hangman posting messages, Omega would not respond, instead leaving the chat rather abruptly.
Omega’s rather blunt actions perhaps suggest that not all of the water has passed under the bridge between Omega and Page just yet.
While the four men remained allies through AEW’s early years, the relationship between Hangman and the rest of The Elite became fractured through Omega’s heel AEW Championship run between 2020-2021.
The rivalry between Page and Omega is perhaps seen as the best AEW has constructed as of yet, with Page dethroning Omega for the AEW World Championship at Full Gear 2021, so perhaps the Omega and Hangman bridge may need more than a friendly group chat to mend.
