Matt & Jeff Hardy Retirement & WWE Return Update

Matt Hardy has commented on his and Jeff Hardy’s plans for retirement, and hopes for a significant WWE run.

With Team 3D (The Dudley Boyz) handing Matt and Jeff Hardy their boots at Bound For Glory, there has been some speculation about when the Hardy Boyz will decide to end their careers.

Speaking on his Extreme Life podcast, Matt Hardy noted that he and Jeff Hardy are hopeful that they will get to do “something proper” in WWE before their retirements.

When asked if they’d be okay riding out the rest of their careers under the circumstances they’ve been working this year, Matt Hardy said:

“I think we would like to do something proper to wind things down, we’ve said this a couple times, in WWE, and then maybe off into the sunset and the Hall of Fame.

“I would want to do the TNA and WWE Hall of Fame, and I think Jeff would as well.”

Matt and Jeff Hardy have wrestled for WWE NXT several times as part of the brand’s partnership with TNA Wrestling.

While also holding the TNA Tag Team Championship, The duo notably won the NXT Tag Team Championship on the October 7 NXT Showdown TV special, before losing the gold to DarkState at NXT Halloween Havoc on October 25.

Matt Hardy previously noted that he and Jeff want to return to the main roster, following their recent NXT appearances.
