WWE Raw Tag Team Champion (Matt) Riddle has spoken some more about his current relationship with Goldberg, and has some high hopes.
“High” hopes. Nice.
Anyway, with Goldberg having been backstage in recent months throughout his feud with Bobby Lashley, Riddle suggests that the relationship between the two has improved after there was significant heat between them upon Riddle criticising Goldberg vs Undertaker in Saudi Arabia in 2019.
Speaking on Pete Rosenberg’s Cheap Heat podcast, Riddle said:
“I will say this. Bill Goldberg. I’ll be honest. I think I’ve grown on the guy. I think he’s grown on me a little. I think that match could probably happen. We both went to Saudi, we were both on the same airplane, and we bumped into each other quite a few times on that airplane. I think we can get that match. I think we can pull that one off. No promises, but I’m hoping in 2022 we get Riddle vs Goldberg. It will sell tickets. Out of those matchups, I see that one happening the most.”
Goldberg has one match left on his current WWE deal, so could this be the big one to cap it all off?
Riddle also addressed his heat with Roman and Brock Lesnar, which you can read about at this link.
