Matt Riddle Recalls Tense Incident With Goldberg Backstage At SummerSlam, Critiques His Match

Matt Riddle has been outspoken to say the least when it comes to Goldberg ever since his match with Undertaker at Super Show-Down in June.

Riddle was a guest on WWE’s SummerSlam Watch Along tonight, during which he recalled a tense moment with Goldberg backstage where Bill told him “I’m not your bro”:

“I’m walking by, and I see his locker room. I’m trying to get a peek, and I’m looking, I’m looking. All of a sudden [hand smacks shoulder], big shoulder, 300 pounds at least. I look up; it’s Bill Goldberg. He goes, ‘we got some talking to do.’ ‘We can talk anytime.’ ‘Yeah?’ ‘Yeah. Alright, bro, we can talk anytime.’ He’s like, ‘I’m not your bro.’ I’m like, ‘Alright bro, take it easy, whatever.’ He’s like, ‘We’ll see, I’ll see you later. It was a pleasure meeting you.’ ‘The pleasure was all mine, bro.’ Then he goes, ‘I’m not your bro.’ Then I walked away.”

The ‘Original Bro’ would then go on to critique Goldberg’s match with Dolph Ziggler.

Prior to the match:

“If they’re playing to Goldberg’s strengths, one minute. If they wanna see Matt Riddle get juicy, they’re going at least 10.”

When Goldberg nailed Zigger with the Jackhammer:

“I’ve been using the Jackhammer recently in my matches, and I’ve been doing it way better than he ever could. It’s the Brohammer now.”

And after the match was over:

“Now I gotta have a talk with Billy. I wish he’d grab the mic and go ‘Bro, get out here.'”

Thanks to Fightful for the quotes.
