It was announced yesterday that All Elite Wrestling’s latest signing was Matt Sydal. After appearing on their programming for the last two months, he finally signed his official deal with the company.
Now, Sydal has posted his response to the signing. He, of course, thanked his family, friends and fans for the support he had been given. Here is the full statement he tweeted earlier today:
I did not do this alone. My hard work only worked because of the support I get from my family, friends and fans! 20 years of people helping, teaching and believing in me, even when I didn’t believe in myself. Thank you all. Onegaishimasu!¡Hagamoslo para el bien de todos! pic.twitter.com/bCKVxFlXrD

Sydal made his AEW debut at their All Out pay per view in September. He was revealed as the final entrant in the Casino Battle Royale although he was not able to win, being outlasted by Lance Archer.
In the months since his debut, Sydal has primarily appeared on AEW Dark. He has won most of his matches but recently lost to Brian Cage on AEW Dynamite. Now that he has signed a contract, it is likely we will see more of a proper direction for Matt Sydal.
