NXT lead play-by-lay commentator Mauro Ranallo called NXT TakeOver: WarGames at the weekend, but was mysteriously absent from Survivor Series.
Michael Cole claimed that Ranallo had lost his voice after TakeOver, but this has since been proved to be completely false.
The real reason Mauro was pulled from the show was a tweet by SmackDown commentator Corey Graves, in which he appeared to call out Ranallo for talking too much and not letting Beth Phoenix or Nigel McGuinness get a word in.
Just for the record guys, I know you wouldn’t know it, but there’s actually a WWE Hall of Famer AND a former Ring of Honor Champion on commentary.
I’d imagine they have a lot to offer.

Ranallo has a history of mental illness, and it is thought that this tweet has significantly affected him. People backstage in WWE are reportedly very angry with Graves.
It was initially thought that Ranallo would be returning to WWE TV tonight for this week’s NXT live show, but John Pollock of POST Wrestling is reporting that Ranallo has been pulled from the show.
It isn’t known whether he will be replaced, or whether Nigel will take over as play-by-play commentator for the evening.
Hopefully Mauro is back on our screens soon, because he is arguably WWE’s best commentator.
