It has been reported that Max Dupri (fka LA Knight) has been removed from the Maximum Male Models WWE faction.
On Friday’s (July 22) edition of SmackDown, the world was introduced to Max’ sister, Maxxine Dupri, formerly NXT 2.0 star Sofia Cromwell.
Max Dupri was originally advertised for the segment, but didn’t make an appearance, and reportedly wasn’t backstage at the taping.
It was also pointed out Max wasn’t featured on the graphic promoting the Maximum Make Models segment for the July 29 episode.
Per Wade Keller of PWTorch, sources indicated that Max Dupri ‘had rubbed some people the wrong way and wasn’t fitting in’. Vince McMahon reportedly made the decision to remove Max from the faction a couple of weeks ago.
Max was reportedly aware that his appearance on the July 15 edition of SmackDown was his last as part of the group.
There was no word on plans for Max Dupri’s future, especially with Vince McMahon announcing his retirement on July 22. The former Million Dollar Champion hasn’t wrestled since losing to Gunther at NXT Stand & Deliver in April, as LA Knight.
We will continue to provide updates on the situation as they become available.
