Mercedes Martinez Comments On AEW Signing

Mercedes has reacted to her AEW signing, following her surprise appearance on Wednesday’s Dynamite: New Year’s Smash show.

During the episode, Jade Cargill defeated Thunder Rosa in the TBS Championship Tournament semi-final, with an assist from a hooded assailant. Following a post-match beatdown, the mystery attacker was revealed to be Mercedes Martinez.

After the segment, Tony Khan confirmed that Martinez has signed with AEW. The former NXT star has now shared her All Elite graphic on Twitter, thanking the AEW President for the opportunity.

Ready to be unleashed, Martinez wrote:

Martinez was notably the Joker entrant in the Casino Battle Royale at All Out 2019, AEW’s second pay-per-view. Her only other AEW bout took place on the November 5, 2019 edition of AEW Dark.

Martinez signed with WWE in January 2020. She was released from her contract with the company in August 2021.
