Ring Of Honor Women’s Champion Mercedes Martinez has made her return to in-ring competition after being side-lined by injury for months.
Martinez made her return at the most recent AEW Dark Elevation tapings, held prior to yesterday’s (November 16) edition of AEW Dynamite in Bridgeport, Connecticut.
Martinez defeated Deonna Purrazzo to win the ROH Women’s Championship on the May 4, 2022 episode of Dynamite.
Prior to beating Purrazzo, Martinez was the interim ROH Women’s Champion.
Martinez has been out of action since July 24, when she faced Vita VonStarr in an event for Northeast Wrestling.
At the AEW Dark Elevation tapings, she defeated JC in a singles match.
