Mercedes Mone’s next AEW TBS Championship defence, taking place at the upcoming AEW Revolution event, has been revealed.
Mercedes continued her run as the TBS Champion at last weekend’s AEW Grand Slam Australia show, defeating the hometown favourite Harley Cameron.
After the match, Mercedes got into it at ringside with STARDOM’s Momo Watanabe, who was sitting in the front row for the match, seemingly teasing a match with Mercedes.
Watanabe was victorious in the International Women’s Cup back at Wrestle Dynasty over AEW’s Willow Nightingale, CMLL’s Persephone and ROH Women’s Champion Athena, earning her a shot at a championship of her choice from AEW, STARDOM, ROH or CMLL, and Momo has made her choice.
On tonight’s Dynamite, Renee Paquette showed an interview she had with Momo following Grand Slam Australia, where she used her victory in the International Women’s Cup to challenge Mercedes to a match for the TBS Championship at AEW Revolution.
Mercedes said that, if Momo wants to challenge her for Revolution, she has to show up to Dynamite first.
Mercedes defended her NJPW STRONG Women’s Championship against Momo back at NJPW Capital Collision in August 2024.
