Mercedes Mone Vs. Athena & Other Owen Hart Cup Semi-Finals Confirmed AEW

Three semi-final matches are set for this year’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournaments, including Mercedes Mone vs. Athena.

This year’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournaments got officially underway back at AEW Dynasty, which saw Will Ospreay, Kyle Fletcher and Mercedes Mone advance to the semi-finals of their respective tournaments with wins over Kevin Knight, Mark Briscoe and Julia Hart respectively.

This week’s Dynamite show saw the tournament continue, with Kris Statlander picking up the win over Thunder Rosa in the Women’s Owen Hart Cup, but the tournaments were in full swing on tonight’s Collision show.

The final two first round matches of the women’s tournament took place on tonight’s Collision show, kicking off with Jamie Hayter scoring the victory over Billie Starkz, earning her a spot in the semi-final, where she will face off against Kris Statlander.

The final first round match of the women’s tournament also took place tonight, with ROH Women’s World Champion Athena defeating Harley Cameron to advance.

Athena’s victory earned her a semi-final clash against Mercedes Mone, which is set for next week’s AEW Dynamite Spring BreakThru show.

The main event of tonight’s Collision saw Konosuke Takeshita secure the victory over Brody King, earning him a spot in the semi-final of the men’s tournament.

Takeshita will face off against Will Ospreay on next week’s AEW Dynamite Spring BreakThru show.

The final first round match of the men’s tournament, which will see Hangman Adam Page face off against a wild card entrant, has yet to take place.

Next week’s Dynamite will also feature an AEW Trios Championship defence, with Jon Moxley now officially recognised as an interim champion following PAC’s injury.
