AEW TBS Champion Mercedes Mone has revealed whether or not she has creative control in AEW after joining the company in March.
Mercedes made her long-awaited debut for AEW at the Big Business episode of Dynamite, before going on to capture the AEW TBS Championship from Willow Nightingale at AEW Double or Nothing in her first match in AEW.
Mercedes signed a big money contract with AEW, and she has now revealed whether or not she has creative control as part of her lucrative deal.
Speaking to TMZ Sport ahead of Forbidden Door, Mercedes was asked about whether she had creative control.
She replied:
“Yes I have creative control, but I work with Tony Khan very closely, so it’s great, it’s a great combo.”
Mercedes is set to defend her TBS Championship against NJPW STRONG Women’s Champion Stephanie Vaquer in a title vs title match at tomorrow night’s Forbidden Door pay-per-view event in Long Island.
