The next defence of AEW star Mercedes Mone’s NJPW STRONG Women’s Championship has been revealed at a recent NJPW event.
Mercedes Mone became a double champion back at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door, when she defended her TBS Championship against NJPW STRONG Women’s Champion Stephanie Vaquer, defeating Vaquer to become a double champion.
Mercedes most recently defended the NJPW STRONG Women’s Championship as well as the TBS Championship against Emi Sakura at the AEW Dynamite Title Tuesday show, and her next NJPW STRONG Women’s Championship defence has been announced.
At the NJPW Fighting Spirit Unleashed event, Hazuki was victorious in a four-way against Trish Adora, Anna Jay to determine the next challenger for the title, with the match set for NJPW Strong Style Evolved on December 15.
After the match, Mercedes came out and confronted Hazuki, with the two of them ending up getting into a brawl which ended with Mercedes getting the upper hand, standing tall over her challenger.
Mone is also set for a TBS Championship defence at Full Gear later this month, when she take son Kris Statlander.
