Mercedes Moné Shares Update Amid AEW Absence AEW

Mercedes Moné has taken to social media to share an update amid her ongoing absence from AEW television.

After reigning as AEW TBS Champion for a record 584 days, Mercedes Moné’s 2025 ended with her dropping the title to Willow Nightingale on the New Year’s Eve edition of AEW Dynamite.

Following the defeat Moné announced a leave of absence from AEW programming, but “The CEO” has since been confirmed for a return to the ring in March for French promotion Banger Zone Wrestling’s APOGÉE show on March 14.

Taking to her Instagram Stories, Moné revealed that she’s preparing for her return with some stem cell therapy at RejuvStem in Cancún, Mexico:

“So, I’ve been really trying to enjoy this time off by really healing my body and taking care of myself because I want to come back to the ring better than ever.

“I’m gonna be very busy in March because I still have a lot of championships to defend, yes I still defend my titles, b**ches. But I’ve just been really taking this time to feel good, I really want to feel good inside and outside.

“If you saw a couple of my videos at the House of Sun, oh my god my back, my neck feel so amazing. I’ve never felt my spine feel so straight.

“And now I’m here in Cancún, Mexico for stem cell treatment. I came down to RejuvStem because a lot of my co-workers came down here and told me about my results so I’m super excited for feeling my best version of myself.”
