Former ECW Champion Tommy Dreamer has commented on Mercedes Mone’s NJPW run, noting that he wants Snoop Dogg to join her.
At Sunday’s (April 23) STARDOM All Star Grand Queendom event, Mercedes Mone dropped her IWGP Women’s Title to Mayu Iwatani.
Following the bout, Mone revealed that the next stop on her world tour is Long Beach, California for NJPW Resurgence on May 21.
Mone noted during her promo that Long Beach is her ‘cousin’s house’, referencing Snoop Dogg.
Speaking on Busted Open Radio, Tommy Dreamer noted he thinks Snoop Dogg appearing for NJPW would be a great move, noting:
“That would be amazing for that audience. I thought Snoop did an amazing job at WrestleMania, especially his (people’s) elbow, which was so Snoop-esque.”
Snoop Dogg was present for both nights of WrestleMania 39, but pinned The Miz after hitting his own version of the People’s Elbow on the Sunday show, after Shane McMahon suffered an injury during his bout with the Miz.
Believing that Mone will continue to prove her worth as a draw, Dreamer said:
“I know Mercedes has done good business for Stardom and New Japan, and she’ll continue to do good business for how long she wants to be there.”
