What Happened During Mercedes Mone First STARDOM In-Ring Appearance?

Mercedes Mone has now made her first in-ring appearance for STARDOM, attacking Mayu Iwatani ahead of their title bout.

The former ‘Sasha Banks’ ambushed Iwatani following her six-woman tag-team match on the April 15 show, before removing her hoodie and wig to reveal that the CEO was behind the attack.

After the beatdown, she told Iwatani that there’s a price to pay for messing with Mercedes Mone.

Mone currently holds the IWGP Women’s Championship, a title which is sanctioned by both STARDOM and NJPW.

She won the gold at February’s NJPW Battle in the Valley show, before defending her title against AZM and Hazuki at this month’s NJPW Sakura Genesis show.

Mone will face Iwatani with the title on the line at STARDOM All Star Grand Queendom on April 23.

The champion and challenger recently met at a press conference, in which Mone also attacked Iwatani.

Mone has also addressed criticisms surrounding her press conference antics, with a fan claiming that she’s the ‘female Dean Ambrose‘.
