Mia Yim Discusses Recent WWE Name Change WWE

Mia Yim has discussed her recent WWE name change in a new interview.

Mia Yim recently returned to WWE and aligned herself with  The OC in their feud with Judgment Day.

Yim assumed the moniker she had been using while at IMPACT Wrestling.

The name ‘Michin’ was used however in a backstage segment with AJ Styles, Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows of The O.C.

Yim explained that the nickname means “crazy” in Korean.

While speaking to Steve Fall of Ten Count, the former Mia Yim discussed the origins of the name.

She said:

“Yes. It’s a nickname within the OC, all the boys have their nicknames. They’re like, ‘You need a nickname too.’ ‘We’ll do a nickname that I’ve had since I was a kid. Something that my mom has been calling me since I was a kid. We’ll go with that.”

Michin also revealed during the interview that Shelton Benjamin was the only one who knew about her return.

She credits Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque for bringing her back after her release from the company in November 2021.

Michin explained:

“I have a lot of respect for him and when I found out that he took over, he was bringing all my friends back and it was the right time, right place.

“Working under him in NXT, it was fun. It’s so easy to talk to him. It was an easy decision for me to come back with him in charge, for sure.”

Mia Yim will join Bianca Belair, Alexa Bliss, Asuka and TBA name for Survivor Series WarGames against Damage Damage CTRL, Nikki Cross & Rhea Ripley.

The premium live event will take place on November 26.
