Another Former WWE Star Done With Impact Wrestling

It has been revealed that former WWE star Mia Yim is officially no longer with IMPACT wrestling. Mia Yim had previously been with the promotion during the mid-00s, before returning to IMPACT on May 7, 2022.

According to Fightful Select (subscription required), Yim has not extended her deal with IMPACT Wrestling and is now a free agent. The deal was short-term, having only returned earlier this year. Fightful Select previously reported that the current deal was due to expire sometime this weekend (October 15/16), if not extended.

According to the report, the door is open for a potential return for Yim, who recently featured in spots with Mickie James and Taylor Wilde.

Fightful learned from speaking with the former Retribution member that her time with IMPACT was positive and that she worked well in the locker room.

Mia Yim previously was signed by WWE NXT following strong performances in the Mae Young Classic tournaments in 2017 and 2018.

In 2020, Yim was called up to the main roster under the ring name, Reckoning as one part of the heel stable, Retribution.

Retribution was fronted by Mustafa Ali and included Mace, Slapjack, T-Bar and Retaliation among its members. Yim, as Reckoning, was drafted from SmackDown to the Raw brand in 2021 but was subsequently released in November of that year without making an appearance on Raw.

Following her release, Mia Yim returned to the independent wrestling circuit prior to her latest stint at IMPACT.

From the report, it appears that Yim has had a positive experience with the promotion, and time will tell what her next steps in the pro wrestling world will be.
