Michael Cole Fires Shots At Pat McAfee & ‘Dumb Friends’ Over WWE 2K24 Controversy WWE

Michael Cole dropped a joking shot at Pat McAfee on Twitter ahead of WWE Raw over the controversy surrounding WWE 2K24.

Taking to Twitter to post a snap of both Pat McAfee and Bobby Roode, Cole’s caption clearly was unimpressed by McAfee’s quote.

Michael Cole wrote alongside the photo:

“2 NXT LEGENDS” says the asshole @PatMcAfeeShow

I can’t believe him and his dumb group of friends are in WWE2K

Cole is of course poking fun at the controversy surrounding the upcoming DLC for WWE 2K24.

As previously announced, Pat McAfee as well as several of his Pat McAfee Show co-hosts are to be released as playable characters for WWE 2K24.

Periodically since the game’s release, additional sets of playable characters are released with the ESPN talk show crew being a theme for the July 31 release.

With the release of the Pat McAfee and Friends pack drawing ire from some in the fan base, mainly due to the exclusions of other current talents, it is not the first time by any means that the WWE 2K DLC has featured a celebrity guest.

Just last month, Post Malone was among the released playable characters available in the game.

Pat McAfee and Michael Cole continue on commentary for WWE Raw as the show heads to St Paul, Minnesota for tonight’s final episode before SummerSlam.

Later in the week, WWE SmackDown as well as the premium live event WWE SummerSlam and other related live shows will hail from Cleveland, Ohio.
