Hall of Famer Mick Foley has praised SmackDown star Sheamus for his current WWE run.
Sheamus has been on fire this summer. A number of the WWE veteran’s recent matches have impressed the wrestling world, including his Intercontinental Title match against GUNTHER at Clash At The Castle on September 3.
Giving Sheamus a shoutout for his consistency, Mick Foley took to Twitter to note:
Just a random acknowledgment of the amazing year @WWESheamus
is having.Banger after banger after banger!
Sheamus responded to Foley’s post, simply replying:
..after banger
Sheamus will challenge for GUNTHER’s Intercontinental Championship on the October 7 edition of SmackDown, ahead of the Brawling Brutes’ good old fashioned Donnybrook match against Imperium at Extreme Rules on October 8. Both matches certainly have ‘banger’ potential.
The Celtic Warrior is only an Intercontinental Championship victory away from becoming an official WWE Grand Slam Champion, following his previous WWE, US and Tag Team championship reigns.
Sheamus last wrestled on WWE TV on the September 9 episode of SmackDown, teaming with Butch & Ridge Holland to battle GUNTHER, Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci.
