Mickie James has announced her return to the ring for the NWA.
Taking to Instagram today, James made the announcement that she will be competing at NWA73 on August 29. She did not name an opponent, instead telling her fans to let Billy Corgan know who they want to see her face.
James recently appeared for NWA, announcing her involvement in their all-women’s pay-per-view. She has since said that she has no intention of wrestling on the show, not wanting to take away from the other wrestlers.
Mickie James was released by WWE on April 15, 2021. James was rarely used after returning from injury in mid-2020, wrestling her last match in the 2021 Royal Rumble.
NWA73 is scheduled to take place on August 29, 2021, in St. Louis, Missouri. This will be one day after their all-women’s pay-per-view.
