Former WWE Women’s Champion Mickie James is set to make her in-ring return at an independent show during WrestleMania 41 week.
With Mickie James appearing for WWE as part of the WWE LFG show, there had been a lot of speculation about the wrestling veteran making an in-ring return.
While James’ wrestling comeback has been announced, the match won’t take place in WWE.
James will face Japanese star Maki Itoh during the WrestleCon Mark Hitchcock Memorial Super Show on April 17, two days before WrestleMania 41 begins on April 19.
WrestleCon shared a graphic for the match – which you can view below – in a tweet which read:

This will be James’ first match since September 2024, when she teamed with Shelly Benson to defeat Havok and Mila Moore at IWR 31 Aftermath.
Mickie James last wrestled for WWE in the 2022 Royal Rumble match, which she competed in as the reigning IMPACT (TNA) World Champion.
WrestleMania 41 will emanate from the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on April 19 and 20.
