Japanese wrestling legend Minoru Suzuki has named an AEW star who he wants to face in the near future.
While many wrestling fans know Suzuki from his work in NJPW, the popular star has wrestled for a number of promotions in recent years.
Speaking with the ‘Wrestling With Honor’ platform , Suzuki confirmed that he’s still wrestling for NJPW with the hope of eventually winning the IWGP World Heavyweight Title:
“Of course, I’m still aiming for IWGP. That is one of the reasons why I continue to fight in New Japan Pro-Wrestling.”
Suzuki noted that there’s a lot of things he wants to do in wrestling, singling out Chris Jericho as a potential opponent:
“I think there are still many more (things I can do in pro wrestling). But I hope in the near future, I can fight Chris Jericho.”
Suzuki has wrestled for AEW a handful of times, most recently defeating QT Marshall at a Dark: Elevation taping in April 2022.
Jericho most recently competed on the March 15 edition of Dynamite, unsuccessfully challenging for House of Black’s AEW Trios Title in trios three-way action.
