AEW star Miro was spotted training at a wrestling facility today in Florida after having been out of action for nearly a year.
Miro’s last match in AEW came at last year’s AEW Worlds End pay-per-view on December 30, 2023 when he took on and defeated now-WWE star Andrade El Idolo.
A few weeks ago, it was reported by Fightful that Miro had requested his release from AEW.
The same report noted that if he isn’t granted the release, he’s under contract until around spring 2026.
Things have been quiet since then, but Miro was spotted today at the Coastal Championship Wrestling facility in Florida.
With a social media post from the promotion featuring a photo of him at the facility, the caption read:
“Thanks for stopping by the CCW Training Facility, @ToBeMiro 💪”
You can see the photos of Miro and others at the facility below.
We’ll keep you posted with any further updates on his status.
Also featured in the photos is Gangrel, who made an AEW appearance earlier this year in the company at Double or Nothing 2024.
Gangrel made a surprise appearance during a TNT Championship barbed wire cage match between champion Adam Copeland and Malakai Black.
Copeland retained but also sustained an injury in the match that forced him to vacate the title and has kept him out of action since.
There have also been question marks over Malakai Black’s future with AEW – click here for the latest.
