MJF Addresses AEW All Out Return & Backstage Drama AEW

MJF has commented on his AEW return at All Out, and the backstage altercation that happened after the show.

In the closing moments of the September 4 pay-per-view, MJF revealed that was the mystery ‘joker’ entrant who won the Casino Ladder Match earlier in the night.

While MJF’s return was definitely noteworthy, the next day, most of the wrestling world was talking about the backstage fight that took place following CM Punk’s verbal tirade during the post show media scrum.

Speaking with Ariel Helwani on the MMA Hour, MJF stated that the backstage drama didn’t concern him, noting:

“All I can say is this, I don’t deal in rumor and innuendo. I don’t want to. Here’s the facts. There were a lot of things said. It doesn’t apply to me, it doesn’t concern me. I’ll tell you why and use some numbers because numbers don’t lie.

“Numbers are facts and facts don’t care about your feelings. When MJF goes out there, I pop a huge number. We just killed it in the ratings. If people come, go, stay; people are going to step up to the plate. We have massive stars in our company. I’m not concerned in the least.

“I’m not going to comment on what was said because it doesn’t apply to me. What I will say is, our company is great right now.”

When asked if the events that followed All Out overshadowed his return, MJF said:

“Did you hear the reaction the following Dynamite? Did it sound like it took anything away from MJF? Moronic marks. Mouth breathing moronic marks. They go on Twitter, ‘I don’t see how this is going to work. This is absolutely ridiculous.’

“Then I go out there, you eat your words and there is never an apology tweet. Never, ‘I was wrong, MJF was right.’ ‘MJF got one of the loudest pops, I can’t hear myself think.’ No one is going to tweet that. They’re just going to tweet what they think and what they think is right and accurate.”

With his Casino Ladder Match victory, MJF earned an AEW World Title shot, which will take place at a time of his choosing.
