AEW’s MJF Teased For Crossover Rematch

AEW’s MJF Teased For Crossover Rematch AEW

A crossover rematch for MJF has been teased by Tony Khan following a recent well-received match against a former WWE star.

AEW Grand Slam Mexico took place on June 18, marking the company’s first-ever appearance in the country.

With Tony Khan addressing the possibility of a return to Mexico in the future, he also discussed a rematch for MJF at a later date.

At Arena Mexico, MJF faced Mistico, losing to the CMLL star that WWE fans may remember as Sin Cara, with their feud continuing at Major League Wrestling on June 26.

During a recent appearance on the Battleground Podcast, Tony Khan teased the possibility of the pair facing off again.

Praising the reaction that MJF received at Arena Mexico, Khan expressed his opinion that the pair would cross paths again, saying:

“I don’t think anything prepared the fans and any of us, frankly, for the kind of reaction he was going to get when we went to Arena Mexico.

“What a great match, Místico versus MJF. They had an absolutely fantastic encounter, and it left me down the bone. I think we could absolutely see a rematch down the line at some point.”

While Khan wouldn’t be drawn on where that match would take place, he did not that a return to Mexico for AEW was a ‘virtual certainty’.

Tony Khan has recently confirmed that AEW All In would return to Wembley Stadium in London, England in 2026.
