MJF Breaks Silence After AEW Double Or Nothing Controversy

MJF Breaks Silence After AEW Double Or Nothing Controversy AEW

UPDATE: Tony Khan was asked about the MJF situation in the post-Double Or Nothing media scrum, and a huge update on MJF’s AEW future was reported soon after. Find out the latest at this link.

After AEW Double or Nothing went off the air, the first MJF update emerged since he appeared at the event for his match against Wardlow.

According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful on Twitter, he reached out to MJF via text message and this time, received a response he shared:

“MJF claimed to us that he showed up shortly before his match, left right after, and has a lot to think about.

I haven’t been able to verify this with other people at the show, or if this was planned/approved/suggested by AEW.”

Wardlow defeating MJF and being announced as having signed with AEW kicked off the show. After the match, MJF was stretchered out in a manner that led to some speculation that he may have been written out of AEW, either permanently, or at least until the situation is resolved.

CM Punk defeated Hangman Adam Page for the AEW World Championship to close the pay-per-view event.

AEW Double or Nothing was a huge show featuring so many great stories including Thunder Rosa defending her AEW Women’s World Championship against Serena Deeb, two huge debuts during Jade Cargill’s TNT title defense, and complete pandemonium during the anarchy in the arena match.
