While MJF might still be hot gossip in wrestling circles, one person who does not care about his kayfabe persona is Sherri Shepherd!
MJF may be a certified bad guy on AEW television but that doesn’t mean he is any match for a mad mama as he almost learned very directly from comedian Sherrie Shephard after a recent unpleasant encounter at the airport.
Shepherd is a guest hosting the Wendy Williams show and discussed the All Elite Wrestling star in her hot topics monologue, describing noticing MJF at the airport after her son pointed him out.
Sherrie’s son Jeffrey spotted MJF in Los Angeles, in an airport lounge but was too shy to approach him being the great mother that she is, Shepherd offered to go up to MJF herself.
Noting that she was careful to be very respectful as she is aware that celebrities do not enjoy being bothered, she “gently” tapped him and asked if he was the professional wrestler, MJF.
Apparently, MJF snapped back at her, “No” and then when she further inquired if people had often told him he looked like the wrestler MJF, he snapped again “Yes” and then put on headphones.
Returning to her son, he was smiling and Shepherd was surprised when her son explained that MJF “was a bad guy” so that is why he was rude but Miss Sherrie was still not having it, noting that if you wanted to see a real bad guy – you upset a Mama trying to get something for her baby!
MJF has remained absent from AEW television since his recent controversial promo segment, dubbed by some as the ‘MJF Pipebomb.’
The promo has never been addressed on-air, and no official statements have been made by AEW regarding MJF’s status however he has been removed from the AEW Rampage bumper, AEW roster, AEW merchandise store, unfollowed by AEW on Twitter and the clip of the promo nor official photos from it have ever been released.
You can watch Sherrie’s whole story below which also includes the popular and adorable clip of MJF appearing on The Rosie O’Donnell show as a child.
