New AEW World Champion Maxwell Jacob Friedman is set to make his first appearance as the AEW World Champion next week.
MJF captured the title at last weekend’s AEW Full Gear event, defeating Jon Moxley for the title following an assist from William Regal.
Tonight’s (November 23) episode of Dynamite opened up with William Regal in the ring following the shocking betrayal at the event.
In the promo, Regal said that he sent an email to MJF ahead of Full Gear to MJF.
When it came time to elaborate, Regal did not do so, instead saying that MJF would make his first appearance as the World Champion on next week’s episode of Dynamite.
MJF was not on tonight’s show due to being on a movie set filming for his role in the upcoming ‘The Iron Claw’ biopic.
The biopic is set to be based on the real life tragedy of the Von Erich Family, with Zac Efron playing the leading role.
MJF is set to portray Lance Von Erich in the film.
