An update has emerged on former AEW World Champion MJF potentially joining up with a faction going forward.
Last week on AEW Dynamite, MVP handed MJF a Hurt Syndicate business card, offering him a spot in the group alongside Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin.
Tonight, MJF said he’s been considering his decision and it led to him thinking about the AEW World Championship.
Given that champion Jon Moxley has his own faction in the Death Riders, MJF said he might need a group of his own to combat the numbers game.
However, whether those allies will come in the form of the Hurt Syndicate remains to be seen, as MJF will provide his full answer next week.
He also said that last time he trusted someone as a partner, he got burned, referencing his tag team and subsequent feud with Adam Cole.
He finished by saying the time for him to cry over spilt milk is over, and the time for him to smile over popped champagne has just begun.
Currently ongoing, having started after MJF’s comments, is the AEW World Championship street fight tonight with Jon Moxley defending against Adam Copeland, so we’ll keep you posted if any news comes out of that.
