Friedman has competed on all AEW cards to date. He was runner-up in the Casino Battle Royale at Double or Nothing, which was won by Adam Page to earn a World Title match against Chris Jericho at All Out on August 31.
He then came up short once again to Page at Fyter Fest as part of a four-way that also included Jimmy Havoc and Jungle Boy.
Most recently he teamed with Sammy Guevara and Shawn Spears to beat Havoc, Darby Allin and Joey Janela in a six-man tag at Fight for the Fallen, though there was clear tension between MJF and Spears due to Spears smashing a chair over Cody’s head at Double or Nothing.
Great news for MJF, AEW, and fans alike.
