# MJF Returns For AEW Full Gear 2023 Main Event

MJF returned in time for the AEW Full Gear 2023 main event tonight in Los Angeles, California on pay-per-view.

Confusion plagued the show regarding how Adam Cole would defend MJF’s AEW World Championship in his absence after it was announced that MJF was unable to compete.

With Adam Cole having recently undergone surgery, which as far as we know was legitimate, it seemed unlikely that he would be able to actually compete in the main event against Jay White.

Despite making his entrance and getting into the ring, no-one had to watch Adam Cole actually compete with one leg as shortly before the match actually began, ambulance sirens interrupted the proceedings.

MJF had ‘stolen an ambulance’ and drove himself up to the arena to compete in the match despite having been assaulted earlier in the night by Austin and Colten Gunn and taken to hospital.

In the end, MJF is competing against Jay White for the AEW World Championship after sharing an embrace with Adam Cole.

The show went off the air without any major shocks and no “Devil” reveal, as MJF retained his title of White thanks to Adam Cole handing him the Dynamite Diamond ring, and MJF using it to fend off the Gunns and knock White out while the referee wasn’t looking.
