After speculation throughout the pay-per-view, MJF revealed himself to be the Devil from the Casino Ladder match at AEW All Out.
While speculation swirled throughout the live show and vocal naysayers were certain it wasn’t him (see: many comments sections across the internet) it was MJF!
After CM Punk won the AEW World Championship from Jon Moxley, the arena lights cut out and an audio message played.
In what sounded to be a voicemail from Tony Khan, offering MJF an undisclosed sum of money to return, he did not have to sign an extension so as long as he attended AEW All Out and participated in the Casino Ladder match.
It was then that it was revealed that it was in fact MJF all along; after a reminder clip of CM Punk saying noting that that the greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing people he didn’t exist.
The show ended with MJF gesturing towards the new champion CM Punk that he was coming for his AEW World Heavyweight Championship.
