MJF Reveals Heartwarming Tribute to Family Member During AEW Dynamite AEW

MJF is usually busy proving that he is the best in the world, but more recently, he has been showing that the ‘Devil’ has a heart afterall.

MJF shared a heartfelt post to Twitter, revealing that an outfit he wore during a previous edition of AEW Dynamite was in fact modelled on his late grandfather.

Maxwell Jacob Friedman shared a picture of himself side by side with his late ‘Poppa’ wearing the outfit, next to a shot of MJF in similar clothes during the February 9 edition of AEW Dynamite.

The Salt of the Earth said:

“Two years since your passing.

Ik you’ll be watching on Saturday.

Thanks for teaching me how to style and strut, Love you Poppa.

#Penniesfromheaven”

MJF has been at the centre of some captivating promos of late on AEW while his character has undergone significant development as he toes the line between heel and face.

He is set to challenge Jon Moxley at AEW Full Gear on November 18 for the AEW World Championship.

Ahead of the match, stars have been weighing in with their opinions of the so-called Devil.

Blackpool Combat Club member Wheeler Yuta recently described him as a ‘fountain of untapped potential.’

After his post-Double or Nothing absence, MJF returned to AEW during All Out on September 4, where he won the poker chip in the Casino Ladder Match, thanks to Stokley Hathaway.

He has since cut ties with The Firm and Hathaway after they disobeyed his orders to not attack Jon Moxley.

Be sure to check back to WrestleTalk to see if MJF can turn his poker chip into gold at AEW Full Gear on November 19.
