AEW World Champion MJF has referenced the rumor that the local police department received hundreds of calls following his Dynamite promo.
On the February 8 episode, MJF cut a promo where he told a story about how he was supposedly driving with his crush in the car when they had an accident, and he moved her into the driver seat before the police arrived so she would get the blame.
Following the show, it was rumored that the Nassau Police Department had received ‘over 300 calls’ about MJF’s story.
MJF has now taken to Twitter to call the AEW fanbase snitches, writing:
If I get one more call from the Nassau police department I swear to god….
Snitches. All of you. Snitches.
The original rumor appears to be false, with ESPN’s Marc Raimondi recently tweeting:
“Not to break kayfabe, but I contacted the Nassau County (N.Y.) PD and reports that hundreds of people have called about the MJF promo from AEW don’t seem to be true.
“The public information officer didn’t know what I was talking about and said such calls would go to his office.
MJF is slated to defend his AEW World Championship against Bryan Danielson at the March 5 Revolution pay-per-view.
