MJF still has his eyes on the AEW World Championship and plans to go for the title in the near future.
Speaking with Sports Illustrated, MJF said that he should be AEW World Champion right now because Jon Moxley used an illegal move at All Out. He then said he can’t focus on that because of his feud with Chris Jericho. He said:
“I’m going to get to that world title. I should be world champion right now. Jon Moxley hit an illegal maneuver on me [at last summer’s All Out]. And the reason I can’t focus on that is because of Chris Jericho. He’s the reason I’m not challenging for the world title.”
MJF and Chris Jericho will have a face-to-face confrontation on next week’s AEW Dynamite. The two have been involved with each other since last September.
The Pinnacle and The Inner Circle have battled in Blood & Guts and Stadium Stampede and do not appear to be close to being done.
