Monumental Title Change On AEW: Dynamite

Monumental Title Change On AEW: Dynamite

There were two title matches on AEW: Dynamite on October 7, 2020. The first was the FTW Championship match between Brian Cage and Will Hobbs where Cage retained his title.

The second match was Cody challenging for The TNT Championship currently held by Brodie Lee in a dog collar match. Cody was successful in his attempt at regaining the TNT Championship.

Cody and Brodie Lee put on a bloody and physical match. Both men were busted open during the match. Even John Silver got busted open.

Cody hit one Cross Rhodes, but it wasn’t enough. He unloaded ever move in his playbook before finally hitting a second Cross Rhodes. Based on the way everyone was kicking out, it almost seemed like Lee would kick out, but he didn’t.

Cody is now the two time TNT Champion. After the match, he cut a passionate promo.

He said people thought he was taking a dark path because he changed his hair. He said no way. He was sticking with the fans and staying a good guy.

He then made an open challenge for next week and Orange Cassidy answered the call. Next week, Cody will defend his title against Orange Cassidy.

Congratulations to Cody for the huge win on Dynamite.
