A new report has discussed potential changes in the AEW calendar following Double or Nothing, and why more shows might move dates.
this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite will air tonight, missing its usual Wednesday slot. The post-Double or Nothing episode will take place next Friday, once again not airing in the middle of the week.
Dynamite will reportedly experience more date-changes in the coming month. In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it was noted that there will likely be more AEW show schedule changes, depending on the NBA playoffs.
The playoff schedule reportedly isn’t finalised as of writing as it is uncertain how long some series will go.
On Sunday, Kenny Omega will defend his AEW World Championship at Double or Nothing. Orange Cassidy and PAC will both challenge Omega in a three-way match.
Cody Rhodes will go one-on-one with Anthony Ogogo at the pay-per-view event. Ogogo has revealed that he suffered a broken rib during training.
Rhodes has also commented on speculation surrounding backstage heat between AEW EVPs. He also gave his theory as to where the rumors originated from.
Double or Nothing will air on Fite this Sunday at 8pm ET.
