More AEW Names No Longer Suspended AEW

The backstage fight after the AEW All Out Media Scrum on September 4 was one of the biggest news stories in AEW’s history.

The fight between CM Punk, Ace Steel and the Elite led to all parties involved being suspended by the company, including other AEW names who were present for the fight.

The other AEW stars suspended were Christopher Daniels, Brandon Cutler and Michael Nakazawa, along with AEW producer Pat Buck.

Buck was back at work for last night’s Dynamite show in Albany, New York, seemingly implying that his suspension had now been lifted.

Per Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, Buck, Daniels, Cutler and Nakazawa are now all off suspension, with the status of Punk, Steel and the Elite still up in the air.

He said:

“Christopher Daniels, Pat Buck, Brandon Cutler and Michael Nakazawa are off suspension because, I guess the investigation showed that they were only trying to break up the fight. Kenny Omega, Young Bucks, CM Punk and Ace Steel’s status is still up in the air.

“I think the only person who was actually back at TV was Pat Buck, because Michael Nakazawa’s in Japan for the video game, and Christopher Daniels is in Japan for the video game.

“Christopher Daniels – his suspension must have been lifted pretty quickly because he worked on Sunday’s New Japan show in Las Vegas, and he’s also working for All Japan this week, and he’s in Japan right now for the video game.”

The suspension of Punk and the Elite led to the vacating of the AEW World Championship and AEW Trios Championship, with the new World Champion to be crowned at Grand Slam in the tournament of champions final between Jon Moxley and Bryan Danielson.
