Even More Backstage Details Revealed About CM Punk & The Elite Altercation After AEW All Out AEW

UPDATE – There has been talk of “pending legal issues” off the back of the incident – read more at this link.

Even more compelling backstage details have now been revealed about the backstage chaos after CM Punk went off to the media after AEW All Out.

After CM Punk’s wild appearance at the AEW All Out media scrum where he amongst other things, disparaged AEW EVPs, Hangman Adam Page and especially Colt Cabana, he left the media scrum area.

And it sounds as though at that point, all hell broke loose.

With even more details coming in to Fightful Select from people who were backstage and actually saw the events, the story has continued to be able to be pieced together.

In line with an earlier PWInsider report that stated after the scrum, CM Punk returned to his locker room where Young Bucks and Kenny Omega confronted him, Fightful was able to confirm even more details.

According to the report, Fightful confirms that Punk and Young Bucks had a physical altercation, while Omega and Ace Steel were said to have a physical altercation.

Per their sources, “Ace Steel shoot cracked Nick Jackson with a chair,” with another commenting that Steel is lucky to not be in jail.

According to several sources in AEW, they did not expect Steel to be back in the company after this incident.

In a frightening description of the melee, one person outright described those breaking up the scene as a situation “of them trying to save lives.”

It is also noted that “there was an incredible amount of heat on Ace Steel after this situation,” and while one source said they weren’t exactly sure what happened, it couldn’t have possibly escalated to hitting someone with a chair.

Apparently the argument continued with copious foul language and shouting until the Elite left the area.

While there is a bit of sentiment running on both sides (with some saying Punk’s comments clearly kicked off the situation while others have noted the Elite should not have attempted to approach while tensions were so high,) the large majority seemed to indicate that Punk should have expected to be approached regarding his bold comments.

Apparently there were no cameras nearby to capture any of the compelling drama.

Also something that happened at AEW All Out, the return of MJF.
