On Friday night AEW will be pulling double duty, putting on a live AEW Rampage and AEW Battle of the Belts immediately after!
Now, more championship matches have been announced for the Friday special, Battle of the Belts.
After gaining confidence picking up the pinfall victory in her tag match earlier tonight, in a backstage segment Willow Nightingale was feeling good. So much so that she elected to declare her plan to challenge for the TBS Championship, summoning Jade Cargill.
After a short back and forth exchange, setting up the match, it was later announced to be an official addition to the card.
Willow Nightingale will take on Jade Cargill at Battle of the Belts as both the TBS Championship and Cargill’s undefeated streak are on the line.
Also added to the card, FTR putting the Ring of Honor Tag Team Championships on the line against Gates of Agony.
Previously announced, PAC will be putting the AEW All Atlantic Championship on the line against Trent Beretta.
While past editions of Battle of the Belts have aired on Saturdays, this week is a notable change.
In lieu of running a pre-taped special against WWE’s premium live event, Extreme Rules, Battle of the Belts made the switch to Friday night after both WWE SmackDown and AEW Rampage, making it the fourth hour of wrestling programming of the night.
