It was announced recently that Impact key players Abyss and Sonjay Dutt had both signed with WWE. While neither of them were expected to sign as wrestlers, despite both being capable performers in their day, more details have emerged on their roles within the company.

On PWInsider Elite, Mike Johnson revealed that both Abyss and Dutt are expected to be working as producers on the main roster, contrary to the belief that they may reunite with former Impact cohort Jeremy Borash, who joined WWE in January 2018 and works as part of the NXT brand.
While they may have a brief reunion in NXT while Abyss and Dutt become familiar with WWE’s style and structure, they are both expected to be moved up to help produce the main roster shows before long.
As a final note, WWE are reportedly still looking to sign more producers, so there may be more signings to come.
Considering Abyss and Dutt have largely helped with Impact’s production during their recent upswing in quality, they may be welcome additions to WWE’s main roster shows.
