More is now known about Velveteen Dream being backstage for Raw, after not appearing on WWE programming since December 2020.
It was previously reported that Velveteen Dream was backstage at the Yuengling Center for this week’s episode of Raw. It has now been revealed that there were no plans to feature him on Monday’s show.
As per Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Dream was backstage, but was never set to make an onscreen appearance. It was rumored that he might’ve originally been brought in for a backstage segment, but this is reportedly not the case.
It was also noted that Dream has not been seen at the WWE Performance Center much over the last few months. Dream last competed on the December 23 episode of NXT against Adam Cole. He has not appeared on NXT TV this year.
Last night’s episode of NXT did feature a big return, with Bobby Fish coming back to TV. You can read more about the return of Fish here. Also on NXT, a major NXT Championship match was announced.
