More details have now come to light regarding reports of WWE and Major League Wrestling (MLW) being in talks regarding a partnership.
It was reported last week that WWE and MLW were in talks regarding a potential partnership that would see WWE send NXT talent who aren’t on TV right now to MLW to gain experience.
Fightful Select has now corroborated this report, noting that higher-ups in both WWE and MLW have been involved in talks regarding a potential partnership between the two US promotions.
The site is also reporting that talent in NXT were “left in the dark” about the partnership talks, with NXT wrestlers reportedly not even hearing about the talks until the reports emerged last week.
The report does emphasise that talks are at a “preliminary” stage as of right now, so don’t expect any WWE talent to be turning up in MLW anytime soon, but it’s certainly in the works.
