More News On Vince McMahon’s Behavior Backstage At WWE Raw WWE

Some more news has emerged regarding Vince McMahon being backstage at WWE Raw on March 6, and what exactly he was doing.

The prevailing story is that he was backstage to visit John Cena who was making his own WWE return in Boston, but there’s also a consensus that there might have been more to it than that, since it was the first time McMahon had been backstage at a WWE show since July 2022.

A new report from Sports Illustrated has provided a couple of stories from behind-the-scenes.

SI’s Justin Barrasso wrote that he spoke with multiple people who were backstage, who said McMahon “purposely stayed out of the way”.

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer had reported that McMahon was in Gorilla Position all night, which is something that SI’s sources backed up too.

McMahon reportedly sat “front and center”, in the middle of Paul Levesque (Triple H) and Bruce Prichard.

Despite this, it was said that he was not wearing a headset, and actually just spent most of the night on his cellphone.

When wrestlers came to Gorilla for advice from management – specifically Levesque – it was said that McMahon “hardly even raised his head and never offered any insight”.

From what Levesque told WWE talent in meetings back in January when McMahon returned to WWE as Executive Chairman, Levesque may talk with McMahon about creative and therefore listen to his ideas, but officially, Levesque is the one that makes the final calls.

The SI report did also confirm that Vince McMahon was not backstage at this past Monday’s March 13 episode of Raw in Providence, Rhode Island.

In case you were wondering, there was no further news provided on McMahon’s alleged “creepy mustache”.
