More NXT Stars Backstage At SmackDown

UPDATE: PWInsider is reporting that Xia Li, Austin Theory and Aliyah are also backstage.

It has emerged that more NXT stars are backstage at tonight’s WWE SmackDown taping at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas.

Xyon Quinn, previously known as Daniel Vidot, posted a picture of him and Odyssey Jones backstage with the caption “Houston… we have a problem”, as you can see here:

These talents are likely there to have dark matches for WWE management to take a look at, which is something that Jones has already done in weeks gone by.

Shotzi, Tegan Nox and Toni Storm all had dark matches and were then called up, which does show that WWE is looking at potentially bringing some of these talents onto the main roster.

It was reported earlier this week that Aliyah has been called up to Raw as a trade for Mandy Rose who is now full-time with NXT. Aliyah was said to have impressed WWE management on a recent scouting trip.

Other NXT names that have had dark matches in recent weeks include Karrion Kross, Scarlett and Bronson Reed.
